Course aim

To provide a theoretical and practical extension to the determination of coordinates via the use of GNSS, the design of satellite based control systems and the use of GNSS in precise surveys.

Course content

Revision of satellite positioning systems. GPS surveying and baseline measurement. Advanced GPS systems and geodetic precision techniques/software. Network design and adjustment. Combination of terrestrial and GPS data in geodetic control networks.
Height determination using GPS and geoid interpolation.
Planning and implementing advanced surveys (including engineering, monitoring, geophysical and GIS) utilising RTK, DGPS and high precision GPS technology. Analyses of GPS networks.
