To enable students to understand the structures and functions of sporting organisations and their role in the provision of sporting competitions and sports events.
This course will focus on the management of sporting organisations and sporting events. Students will appreciate the importance of all stakeholders, including government, sponsors, broadcasters, elite athletes and the sports consumer in the provision of sporting events. The event planning process, event delivery and the impacts associated with sporting events will be examined.
