To provide students with knowledge of radio, radar, advanced navigation systems and techniques.
Basic radio principles: Propagation, Radio communications, aircraft communications, addressing and reporting system (ACARS), Instrument Landing System.
Radio Navigation Principles: Bearing measurement and automatic direction finder, distance ,measuring equipment (DME), VOR/DME, Area Navigation (RNAV).
Airways Navigation: Radar principles, ground radar, radio altimeters, Airborne weather and mapping radar (AWR), Secondary surveillance radar (SSR).
