To provide students with knowledge of basic aerodynamics.
Basic definitions and theory including;
Air Speed, Bernoulli Theorem, Lift, Drag, Aspect Ratio, Aircraft Axes and Control (Primary and Secondary Effects), Straight and Level Flight, Flaps, Slats and boundary layer control, Climbing, Descending, Turning and Load Factors, Stalling, Spinning and Spiral Dives, Take-off and Landing, Wake Turbulence and Jet Blast, Adverse Aileron Yaw, Control Balances, Endurance and Range, Stability, Propellers, Ground effect and Taxiing.
