Course aim

To develop students' understanding of a range of teaching methodologies with specific emphasis on OHSW issues, resource and workplace management strategies appropriate for the implementation of Design and Technology Education/Home Economics in Middle and Secondary educational settings.

Course content

Students will investigate, interpret and apply safe and sustainable work place practices and resource management. They will develop an understanding of the design and manufacture of design based projects. Students will implement OHSW guidelines and safety operating procedures of machinery and equipment in workplace settings.
