Course aim

To develop students’ ability to critically analyse and provide leadership in the social work and human service context.

Course content

Students will critically engage with concepts of ethical leadership and the distinction between leadership and management in the human service context. Students will develop the reasoning and technical skills to demonstrate research informed practice in the management of people and relationships, in the creation of positive workplace cultures, in identifying and resolving conflict, and in generating and managing change. Students will develop the skills and understanding required to practice effectively in interprofessional settings and contexts.
