To examine and apply research methodologies and align them to social issues to inform and recreate social work practice, knowledge and research.
Students will develop contemporary knowledge of the traditions and philosophical underpinnings of traditional and new social science research methodologies with a specialised knowledge of constructing research problems and questions, analysing methodologies, data and qualitative methods. Students will utilise this knowledge to relate data to social questions and present data in a research context.
