Property Law A

Course aim

The aim of this course is develop an understanding of the fundamental concepts of the law of property in Australia. The course examines the interplay of common law, equity and statute law, introduces students to the philosophy and changing conceptions of property, explains the classification and nature of different proprietary interests, outlines the concepts of possession, ownership and title in relation to personal and real property law and considers how property interests are acquired, transferred and given priority over other interests.
