To gain understanding of a range of world music forms, traditions and their social contexts.
Study and analyse various world music styles, using multimedia and live demonstrations. Topics including Aboriginal/Indigenous music, global singing traditions from Africa, Mongolia , Scotland, Macedonia, Georgia, Corsica and Sardinia. Instrumental music including West African drumming, Indian classical music, and celtic music.
