To extend students' abilities in animation methods and principles in relation to digital 2D animation design and production.
Students will develop an understanding of animation principles and software techniques used to create digital 2D animation. Students will apply design principles to create digital 2D animations that demonstrate effective communication through development of narrative and theme. Students will explore animation production approaches, the use of storyboards, time, text, sound, graphics, images and motion to produce an animation (visual movement) using the Adobe Creative Suite, Toon Boom Harmony or other relevant industry software.
