To introduce students to the field of special education with a focus on primary and middle year’s development (Years 3-9).
Introduction to the field of special needs, exceptionality, disability, diversity and inclusive educational practice maximising outcomes for all students; relationship between theory and practice; experience with students with special needs and diversity; familiarisation of current legislative, ethical and policy requirements, and implications for educators, families and support agencies.
