To provide students with fundamental practical knowledge and hands-on skills in mechanical engineering design and practice and introduce students to the pracrice of mechanical engineering in real world industry.
Practical approaches to mechanical engineering design; formulating design specifications; measurement and instrumentation; understanding mechanisms, materials and their selections; engineering drawings, tolerance and fits; fastening and joining; analysis of strength and stiffness; CAM and manufacturing; mechatronic concepts for mechanical device control; design selection, evaluation and testing; risk assessment and documentation; and the design process in industry
