To further build students' understanding of working with communities to develop practical skills for researching with groups and diverse communities in an ethical manner.
Understanding communities and the representations of communities; basic skills for working with communities; learning community-based research skills; diversity in communities and how this affects practice; learning and responding to distinctive features of communities; ethics and practical issues when dealing and researching with communities; some community interventions; and international perspectives on community engagement.
