The aim of this course is to enable the student to acquire the knowledge and develop advanced skills required to perform non routine region specific practical procedures in musculoskeletal sonography.
Gross anatomy and pathophysiology of the musculoskeletal structures that present in complex case of of the shoulder, elbow, ankle and foot, hand and wrist, knee, hip, groin and buttock, upper arm, forearm, thigh, lower leg. Clinical signs and symptoms, diagnostic test results (including other imaging modalities) associated with complex pathophysiological conditions of the shoulder, elbow, ankle and foot, hand and wrist, knee, hip, groin and buttock.

Knowledge of general medical sonography scanning principles will be assumed. Students are only required to have one of the above courses for their prerequisite.
The student should be an accredited medical sonographer and working in an environment where diagnostic medical sonography is performed.
