Course aim

This course will enable learners to plan, experience and critically reflect on their learning in a work placement or related project activity in preparation for working as a professional

Course content

Induction to self-directed learning in the trans-discipline environment of the workplace; Learning theory (learning styles and preferences); Preparing a learning agreement in relation to learning in the workplace addressing problem solving, collaboration and communication; monitoring progress through critical self-reflection (recognising learning; recognising what informed learning; planning future learning); evaluating achievement of learning outcomes.

Students are required to have successfully completed 18 units in their current Masters program before enrolling in the course EDUC 4190 Learning in the Workplace 1.
