This course will provide students with an opportunity to undertake a community service project in order to develop an appreciation for community development and working with multidisciplinary teams.
Students will build on the work that they have done in Service Learning Project 1. Using the outcomes of their previous learning project they will develop a plan for further work on the project to improve its outcomes. They will carry out the project plan and evaluate their outcomes. Students will complete a learning journal throughout the course reflecting on their experience from implementing the problem solving process, their use of the knowledge and skills taught throughout their degree, and the relevance of the service learning project experience to their future careers. Advanced topics on working in teams and problem solving will be studied.
