This course aims to develop student’s knowledge on complexities of cultural diversity. It introduces different dimensions of culture as a framework and illustrates how these dimensions can differentiate one culture from another. When these dimensions are applied to a culture and to issues that affect the workplace such as communication, negotiation, diversity, and ethics they can be readily identified and provide greater understanding of why people behave as they do and how this affects business.
Identifying cultural differences; evaluating cultural differences; different dimensions of culture; application of cultural knowledge/differences to managerial behaviour/activities; negotiation across cultures; corporate cultures; and ethical dilemmas across cultures.
