Course aim
To introduce students to issues, terminology and knowledge within a professional design framework related to problem-solving in industrial design, through a repeating stage-gate process of problem identification, product research, critical analysis, synthesis and evaluation.
Course content
The students will develop knowledge on different requirements when designing an object which is required to meet specific user and commercial needs.
The students will use the design skills necessary for the development of a domestic appliance, which is used in a novel way and addresses specific market requirements.
