Course aim

The aim of this course is to develop skills in legal research, analysis and writing.

Course content

Legal Research:
Primary and secondary sources of Commonwealth and State law, foreign and international law;
Research methodologies based on inquiry into legal subject matter and relevant legal authority, including - legislation and case law

Legal Analysis:
Analysis and problem-solving of Commonwealth and State doctrinal legal issues; Analysis and problem-solving of international legal issues

Legal Writing:
Written communication of legal issues and analysis as an academic and professional exercise; Legal citation
