To develop students' digital-design communication skills and knowledge necessary to translate two-dimensional architectural drawings to computer-based digital design environments.
Students will develop their skills and knowledge in digital design, including an introduction to two-dimensional and three-dimensional computer-based environments; systems of geometric representation, methods of navigation, and working with scale in specified Computer Aided Design software. Students will also explore the application of different materials in specified software using perspective viewpoints, systems of ordering and referencing drawings to industry conventions, and introductory lighting and rendering techniques.
