To develop students' understanding of the design of small-scale buildings and their inter-relationship with physical and meta-physical aspects of context.

Course content

Students will develop knowledge of the relationships between the design of small-scale buildings and their specific context, from the micro to macro scale. Students will develop knowledge and design skills to understand and respond to contemporary social, environmental, cultural, political, and ideological contexts through project-based design solutions, and the representational skills to communicate design solutions.
