Course aim

To develop students' specialised multimedia skills and understandings in the context of professional practice in journalism.

Course content

Students will develop advanced skills in research and sourcing stories, and in interviewing techniques. they will become familiar with packaging a video story (broadcast writing conventions, video journalism), camera/audio techniques and specialised presentation/ piece-to-camera/interviewing. They will also develop skills in digital audio/video editing and compression using industry standard software.
