Consumerism, social change and sustainability; technological artefacts, innovation, behaviour and sustainability; creating more sustainable urban design and housing in a global industrialised culture; creating more sustainable transport and communication systems and behaviours; the ethics of and practices around waste, manufacturing and industrial ecology; the design and development of self-sustaining communities using the principles of sustainable design.
