Course aim

This course will develop an understanding of the approaches to Aboriginal health and wellbeing.

Course content

This course will develop an understanding of the approaches to Aboriginal health and social and emotional wellbeing. National and International approaches to colonialism, racism and social injustice and the positioning of the professional working in this field will also be explored. There will be an opportunity to work on self reflection and to examine the applicability of community development and primary health care ideas for current social problems such as family violence, substance misuse and social alienation.
