Aboriginal Research Methods and Ethics

Course aim

To introduce students to a range of advanced research methodologies and practices necessary for developing an appropriate research topic or project.

Course content

The students will be introduced to advanced Aboriginal research methodologies and constructions of knowledge. The students will also develop understanding of the ethical issues relating to research and will develop knowledge of protocols for negotiating research within the Aboriginal communities and/or with the Aboriginal people.

Completion of the Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma of Aboriginal Studies or permission of the Program Director.
