Course aim

To provide a thorough understanding of polyphasic pharmaceutical dosage forms, including factors important in their formulation, quality control and stability.

Course content

Polyphasic pharmaceutical dosage forms. Interfacial phenomena. Surfactants, polymers and macromolecules. Coarse and colloidal dispersions. Emulsions, creams, ointments, gels, pastes, suspensions, foams and aerosols. Rheology. Manufacture of polyphasic dose forms.
Techniques in pharmaceutical analysis.
