Course aim

This course is designed to increase your understanding of key issues in the commercial development of research.

Course content

This course covers the various conceptions of research from intellectual curiosity to commercial development and the processes of how research can be commercialised. It discusses relevant local and global contexts for research commercialisation and the ethical and legal frameworks that are encountered in the process. It also outlines how to develop start-up companies, marketing ideas and attracting funding.
