This course will introduce students to counselling as a discreet discipline.
Counselling as a discreet discipline; core counselling concepts and values relating to the person of the counsellor and the therapeutic relationship; importance of theory in counselling; overview of major theories that underpin the counselling profession; introduction to psycho-social developmental theory.
