Course aim

To engage students with constructivist perspectives of student learning and focus on interactive approaches to teaching science and mathematics from Years 3 to 9.

Course content

Constructivist perspectives of student learning; interactive approaches to teaching science and mathematics for Years 3 to 9; earth and space, energy systems, spatial sense and geometric reasoning, and the exploring and modelling data strands of the Years 3 – 9 curriculum; thinking and working scientifically and mathematically from a critical perspective; student questions and inquiry; planning for student learning and resources that inform and support planning for such learning.
