To develop the practical competence of students through professionally relevant work experience in a domestic or international setting.
The Hawke Professional Experience is a 9 unit internship course which enables our students to gain domestic or overseas workplace experience. Students choose their own placement or when available, participate in programs designed by the University. Students will consider their chosen placement opportunity, undertake the placement and then reflect on their achievements; specifically how the placement adds value to their career trajectory.
Student's performance during the placement, feedback from the workplace mentor, the quality of their reflections and educational and skill-based outcomes they gain from the course will be considered.
