Course aim

To provide students with fundamental knowledge and skills in health informatics.

Course content

Health data, information and knowledge; coding and coding systems, processing, exchange (such as HL7 concept), storage and analysis in health context. Basics of data quality, safety/security, privacy/confidentiality and ethics principles in health informatics.

Health information systems and decision support systems in health.

Electronic health records.
