Course aim

To provide students with an understanding of property market activity through the application of property research methods which use both qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques.

Course content

Property research methods and paradigms. The research process; planning and design, literature review, data collection. Qualitative analysis in property research; case study and experimental design. Quantitative methods used in the analysis of property market activity; parametric and non-parametric testing, regression analysis; time series and non-linear transformations. Advanced applications in property research; hierarchical analysis, time–series analysis, spatial analysis. Property research reporting.
