Course aim

Students will develop knowledge and skills to lead and manage the care of older people in the aged care sector.

Course content

Leadership and management; decision making; managing information for effective decision making; managing finances and budgeting; management of change; problem solving process and conflict resolution; communication and counselling with client and staff groups; preceptorship and mentorship; staff development, education, delegation, credentialing; quality management; continuous improvement; and risk management in the aged care sector.
