The aim of this course is to provide students with the foundation skills and knowledge required to conduct outdoor journeys in mountain environments for recreation, education, adventure therapy or nature-based tourism.
Theoretical and practical knowledge required for mountain journeys; planning and conduct of mountain journeys; mountain journey skills; environmental knowledge of mountain environments; evaluation of mountain journeys for recreation, education, adventure therapy and nature-based tourism; mountain journeys; Indigenous, scientific, historical and cultural research using mountain journeys; keeping professional logs and portfolio.
