Course aim

To provide an appreciation for modern project management techniques and practices in a specialist area, as determined by the Program of the enrolled student, in context of a project team or individual depending on the project scope. 

Course content

Capstone project for graduate diploma students within a library, archive, records management, gallery, museum, or other industry location that allows the student to use their knowledge, skills, and abilities to work with an industry partner on a project.  The lecture portion (6 weeks) will cover project management context and processes; the role of the project manager; project integration, scope, time, cost, quality, and resource management; risk management; quality management; change management; managing the project life cycle; project management techniques and procedures; benchmarking and evaluating success and/or failure.
