Course aim

To critically compare and evaluate the main methodologies for the development of modern enterprise architectures based on a solid understanding of the key concepts and components of enterprise architectures.

Course content

Enterprise architectures (EA) : Overview; Strategic alignment for innovative use of information technology; EA and high-level design; Systems functional and non-functional requirements; EA frameworks, including Zachman’s framework and TOGAF. Evaluation of alternative EA approaches; Critical success factors for implementation of common EA approaches; ; Planning for architectural change management; Architecture Governance; Documentation of an EA in standard formats; Views, viewpoints and stakeholders. Modelling approaches: BPMA, MDA and SOA.TOGAF and the ADM.
