To ensure students are able to develop tools and practices that enable an organisation to manage both physical and electronic records; and to assist students understand recordkeeping concepts and their application to digitally born and digitised records.
The learning process will consist of understanding electronic recordkeeping principles and concepts and applying them in a practical concept; understanding EDRMS software tools and their use; configuring business rules to manage electronic records over time; understanding and applying metadata standards in a practical context; aggregating multi-media objects for access and archival purposes; understanding emerging issues; Ownership, risks and administrative issues associated with recordkeeping; Accessibility of physical and digital records; Role of recordkeeping processes, practice and systems, including the roles and responsibilities of the information manager, International and transborder information transfer ;
