To prepare students for information and records management work through analysing and evaluating information and records management principles, theories, models, standards, and processes and how these are practically applied in modern organisations. Students will be expected to research current and emerging issues in information and records management in government and industry.
The functions of information and records management in all types of organisations and the main techniques and processes for managing information and records including: information audits, business analysis, information architecture, records creation and capture in systems, retention and disposal of records, records storage and preservation, access to information and records, some data sets, big data, and data technology aspects for information management, information governance, and digital transformation.
