The aim of this course is to develop a beginning understanding of human development and change using a population health approach.
Theories of human development: principles of health education applied to the various age groups: health assessment: pain assessment: normal physical and psychological development including health assessment and risks across the lifespan: developmental disabilities: nutrition and lifespan: risk and protective factors across the lifespan: loss, death and grief across the lifespan: communication and lifespan: adapting communication techniques according to age related needs and or special needs: health education and principles of learning applied to various age groups.
