Course aim

This capstone course aims to equip students with knowledge and skills of the theory and practice of contemporary strategic human resource management.

Course content

Evolution of HRM; types of strategic HRM; strategic fit between environment, business strategy, HR stategy and HR practices; different conceptual approaches to HRM and strategy; design of appropriate HR practices to support business and HR strategy integration; current issues in HR strategy and professional practice; environmental and organisational assessment; strategic dimensions and implications of operational HR practices; durrent issues in HR professional practice.
