The aim of this course is to assist occupational therapists to develop a comprehensive understanding of driver assessment and rehabilitation theory and to demonstrate the capacity to gather and synthesise assessment information, develop program plans and evaluate client outcomes in this speciality area of practice.
Orientation to on-road assessment, observation and assessment tools, formulating and communicating assessment outcomes and recommendations, program planning, training, ergonomics, modifications and rehabilitation, report writing and medico-legal requirements, the practical intensive.
