Course aim

To critically evaluate and develop recommendations for the strategic role of IS/IT in an organisation and its alignment with business objectives.

Course content

An introduction to information systems strategy including: organisational strategy, strategic information systems planning, critical thinking, strategic thinking, creative thinking, processes of strategy formulation, strategic decision making, IT governance, modern planning and management strategies, equity and ethical issues relating to or resulting from IS/IT.
