Course aim

To examine the evolution of significant aspects of visual culture within the historical context of 20th century modernism.

Course content

Students will gain a broad knowledge of the many manifestations of the visual culture of 20th century modernity. Students will undertake research focussed on upon a particular area from the field to understand the technology, politics and philosophies behind the innovations of the early 20th century modernism.
