Course aim

The aim of this course is to give students insights into the underlying principles and processes involved in developing entrepreneurial business plans for new venture start-ups that would be suitable documents for raising finance.

Course content

The nature of entrepreneurial business plans and how they differ from conventional business plans; how entrepreneurial business plans are evaluated by potential financiers; developing the business mission and analysing the business environment for an innovative business or service idea; developing appropriate objectives, growth and competitive strategies, and business model for a new venture; developing a realistic entrepreneurial business plan to raise finance; presenting the business plan.
