To provide students with a theoretical framework and an understanding of curatorial practices and exhibition management.
The students will develop knowledge in curatorial practice, research and strategies, exhibition development and gallery practices. Students will extend their understanding in the breadth of curatorial strategies, develop the exhibition proposals, grant applications and funding requirements. Students will be made aware of project management; publicity, promotion and documentation of exhibitions, arts writing and publishing, gallery safety and security, curatorial responsibilities, artists’ rights and obligations.
