To provide students with a theoretical framework and introductory understanding of curatorial practices and exhibition management.
An introduction to curatorial practice, research and strategies, exhibition development, and gallery practices: understanding breadth of curatorial strategies; development of exhibition proposals; grant applications and funding requirements; project management; publicity, promotion and documentation of exhibitions; arts writing and publishing; gallery safety and security; curatorial responsibilities; artists’ rights and obligations.
