To develop a deep understanding of issues concerning social-cultural features of TESOL practices and resources and to connect it with language assessment in a TESOL setting.
Students will develop a critical understanding of issues concerning the language classroom as a micro-social
context and English appropriations and apply it to critiquing teaching approaches and methods in TESOL and
related issues identified in a specific TESOL setting. The students will also apply theories of language teaching
and assessment (including major language assessment concepts) to the design and justification of language
assessment activities for a specific TESOL setting.
