To develop a deep understanding of concepts about language learning, especially issues concerning learner identity and learner difference in the process of English learning in a TESOL setting.
Students will develop an in-depth understanding of language learning as a sociocultural activity and critique
issues concerning learner identity in TESOL orientation. Students will apply advanced and scientific knowledge
of learners’ individual differences in second language acquisition, including the differences in cognition, learning
strategies, learning styles, motivation and in language learning errors and variations, to designing, analysing,
critiquing and justifying learning activities in a designated TESOL setting.
