The aim of this course is to investigate major issues that impact on the health and well being of youth and to explore educational strategies to minimise harm and promote positive well being.
Alcohol, tobacco, illicit drugs, sexual health, relationships, mental health programs and methods for teaching and learning that foster a harm minimisation approach. Strategies for enhancing protective behaviours, resilience, informed decision making, personal and social responsibility. Social, cultural and contextual influences on lifestyle choices for youth and adolescents.
