Course aim

To develop an understanding of the role of strategic management of IT, particularly in relation to evaluating emerging technology and trends and adopting a critical approach to strategic decisions.

Course content

An introduction to Information Technology strategy and management considerations including: governance models for organisational Information Systems, processes of strategy formulation and implementation, current issues in Information Technology management, quality assurance, modern management and planning strategies, equity and ethical issues relating to or resulting from Information Technology.
